The global accountancy profession is evolving, and IFAC is ensuring future accountants are prepared by embedding sustainability concepts into the International Education Standards. In this video, IFAC Chief Executive Officer Lee White and Anne-Marie Vitale, Chair of IFAC’s International Panel on Accountancy Education, introduce these revisions, which integrate sustainability into core competencies—covering technical skills, ethics, and professional values.  

Developed through global consultation, the updated standards establish a global baseline while allowing flexibility for local contexts. To support adoption, IFAC is providing practical resources, including a factsheet, FAQs, and a webinar series.
